Analyzing Audience and Voice in "Are you better off?"

ARE YOU BETTER OFF THAN YOU WERE 4 YEARS AGO? (youtube.com)

This commercial is made for Trump. The ad brings p a question asked by Ronald Reagen to the people when he ran for president back in 1980. This question determines a lot when choosing between candidates and it is " Are you better off than you were four years ago?". Then it goes on by showing how certain issues that are important to the people of the United States because they are the ones being affected by them, have been getting worse these past four years, such as security, prices, and military.

This ad is aimed at everyone who is able to vote, there is no specific gender but both women and men, especially those who are concerned with how situations have been looking as of late. It engages with the audience by looking through their perspective and their personal concerns, using examples like shopping for food now adays or employment rates dropping dramatically.  It can not only strengthen the decision of the republican party but persuade those in the opposing party to think about how we have grown as a nation and if that is the right way to be headed.

All the visuals and scenes shown in the ad are very dark, no scenes have very bright colors. It is portrayed as a very serious ad, especially with the very serious and formal tone it brings out. I believe this has a very big effectiveness on the audience because it is letting them know that the election is no joke. The people we will pick will decide how this country runs for the next four years.

After scrolling for a while, this ad really caught my attention out of all. It brings up many important points to think about for the good of the whole nation.

What are your thoughts?
